Opposites Attract

I guess I should have known when my boyfriend and I moved in together that there would be certain things that we just wouldn’t be able to compromise on. Here are some things that we just can’t seem to see eye to eye on. How often he should wash his favorite jeans. I think that if you wear the same pair of jeans every day of the week you should probably take a day or two off to wash them no less than twice a week. He prefers to wear them until they are so stretched out they don’t stay up. Another item on the no compromise list is where the dirty dishes go. Most people would say “the dishwasher!” Not my boyfriend. No sir. He believes that dishes should go wherever they please. I find them on the coffee table, the desk, and the windowsill. I have found coffee cups in the bathroom, the car, the back porch and a myriad of other locations. At least let them migrate to the kitchen for Pete’s sake! The one thing that we can agree on is the remote control. We both want it. Not sure if that is actual agreement since we each want control of it at the same time. Have you seen the direct tv kansas remote? It is a thing of beauty. So many shiny buttons! So many wonderful television programs out there to be watched and recorded! So many music channels to listen to while wandering around the house in search of my favorite coffee mug!
